BETTER THAN THE MOVIES & NOTHING LIKE THE MOVIES

 Welcome back!

Last week I read these two books that had been going viral for quite some time. If you don't know what those books are they are  "Better Than The Movies" and "Nothing Like The Movies" by Lynn Painter. This is a Young Adult romance novel that gives off Rom Com vibes. So imagine you are watching a wholesome romantic comedy movie and you can imagine these books.

SUMMARY OF BETTER THAN THE MOVIES:

Liz has a love for romantic comedies. She and her mom have watched every single one of them. Therefore she is looking for that kind of love in her life. Wes is her next door neighbor and her nemesis. But when her childhood crush comes back she needs Wes's help in order to land a love just like the movies. Except she is getting to know West better and she likes what she sees. So could Wes be the guy just like the movies?

MY TAKE ON THE BOOK:

Although I loved this book it was hard to get hooked on it until almost halfway. There were times where the book felt a little childish and the female main character was kind of annoying. However, once you read 50% of the book I was completely hooked and could not put it down for the life of me. Which is why I had to read the second one right away.

SUMMARY OF NOTHING LIKE THE MOVIES:

Liz and Wes end up going to UCLA together but when tragedy strikes on Wes's life he is forced to end his relationship and drop out of college. A year and a half later he's back un UCLA trying to get his life back and the one goal he has: Get Liz back.

MY TAKE ON THE BOOOK:

Absolutely amazing. The angst, the emotions, the feelings, how the characters changed. Everything about it was so intriguing and I could not put the book down. This book in my opinion is better than the first one by far. I will re-read this book forever because the things that made me feel were amazing.
