BETTER THAN THE MOVIES & NOTHING LIKE THE MOVIES

Image
Welcome back! Last week I read these two books that had been going viral for quite some time. If you don't know what those books are they are  "Better Than The Movies" and "Nothing Like The Movies" by Lynn Painter. This is a Young Adult romance novel that gives off Rom Com vibes. So imagine you are watching a wholesome romantic comedy movie and you can imagine these books.  SUMMARY OF BETTER THAN THE MOVIES:      Liz has a love for romantic comedies. She and her mom have watched every single one of them. Therefore she is looking for that kind of love in her life. Wes is her next door neighbor and her nemesis. But when her childhood crush comes back she needs Wes's help in order to land a love just like the movies. Except she is getting to know West better and she likes what she sees. So could Wes be the guy just like the movies?  MY TAKE ON THE BOOK:  Although I loved this book it was hard to get hooked on it until almost halfway. There were time...

A THOUSAND BOY KISSES

Hello fellow readers and welcome back! A few years ago I read A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole. The book was incredibly sad and if you feel like reading something that will make you feel you should definitely pick this one up. The book takes you through their journey on how young kids find love and learn how to love each other in different ways.  SUMMARY-  Poppy and Rune met at the small town of Blossom Grove, Georgia when they were children. As time went by and their friendship grew they became inseparable. They end up having stronger feelings for each other than friendship. Learning how to love, loving, and having forever. The only thing is that life throws them a curveball and they have to learn how to deal with the fact that they might not have forever in the end. To cope with the news her mom gives her a jar to fill with a thousand kisses.  *Pictures by Eugenia Verlezza* This book was so heart wrenching and so good at the same time.
